UGC Whitelisting Rates & Fee Calculator

Whitelisting puts the brand's ads under your name. Price it per month, on top of paid usage, and spell out how access is granted and removed.

Quick answer: Charge whitelisting (Spark Ads on TikTok, partnership ads on Instagram and Facebook) as a monthly fee on top of paid usage. CollabRate's default is 20% of the content fee for each month of access, with a suggested range of 15–30%. On a $450 content fee that's $90 for one month or $270 for three.

What whitelisting is

With normal paid usage the brand runs your video as an ad from its own account. With whitelisting the ad appears under your name and handle, using your account's identity. Viewers see a post from a creator rather than from a brand, which is why brands ask for it. You grant access through the platform's own tools, such as a Spark Ads authorisation code on TikTok or partnership ad permissions on Instagram and Facebook. Never share your password.

Whitelisting fee by number of months

For 3 videos at $150 each (content fee $450) at the default 20% per month:

The calculator above starts with this brief: 3 videos plus 3 extra hooks, 90 days of paid usage and 3 months of whitelisting. Here is the same job without the hooks, at a $150 base rate:

LineAmount
3 × UGC video (up to 60 s) at $150$450
Content fee$450
Paid usage: 90 days (50% of content fee)$225
Whitelisting / Spark Ads: 3 months (20% of content fee × 3 months)$270
Total$945

What to agree before you grant access

  • Duration. Match it to the paid usage window. The calculator warns you if whitelisting runs longer than usage.
  • Creative approval. Ask to see ad copy before it runs under your name.
  • Comments. Agree who moderates comments on the ads.
  • Removing access. Put the end date in the quote, set a reminder, and revoke the permission when it passes.

Add a rights start date to your quote and it lists the exact whitelisting end date. Saved deals turn that date into a calendar reminder the day before. CollabRate isn't affiliated with Meta or TikTok; platform names are used only to describe their ad features.

FAQ

Is whitelisting the same as Spark Ads?

Spark Ads is TikTok's name for running ads through a creator's post. Partnership ads do the same job on Instagram and Facebook. Creators often call all of these whitelisting.

Should I charge whitelisting on top of usage rights?

Usually yes. Whitelisted ads are still paid ads, so most creators charge paid usage for the same period plus a monthly whitelisting fee for the use of their account and name.

How long should whitelisting last?

Match the campaign: one to three months is common for testing, longer for always-on ads. Price each month and agree a renewal rate rather than open-ended access.

Do I have to give the brand my login?

No. Grant ad permissions through the platform's own tools and never share your password.
