CollabRateCollabRate is part of MiniTools, a set of small, free web tools that each do one job well. It helps UGC creators work out what to charge for videos, usage rights, whitelisting, exclusivity and extras, and turns the result into a quote PDF, a rate card or a pitch email.
Why it exists
The usual options for pricing UGC are static rate card templates that do no maths, calculators behind an email sign-up, and published advice that often disagrees. CollabRate shows its formula and every default percentage, lets you change all of them, and gives you a range instead of pretending there's one correct price.
How the defaults are set
The default percentages and starting rates are our own negotiating starting points, reviewed on 8 October 2026. They're not survey data and not an industry standard. The full table is on the methodology section of the calculator.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free, with no account and no paid tier. Exported quotes and cards carry a small “Made with CollabRate” credit, which is how other creators find the tool.
